I write on themes of democratic transformation, party politics, and majoritarian nationalism in contemporary India. I am a regular columnist for The Telegraph, and my essays also frequently appear in The Times of India, The Hindu, and Frontline. I have also written for international publications such as The Guardian, The New York Times, and The Diplomat, and have been quoted as an independent political researcher in The Financial Times, The Economist, The Times (London), The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Le Monde, Agencia EFE and NRC Handelsblad.
